Psychiatric care designed for athletes, high performers, and anyone ready to optimize their mental health — specializing in ADHD, mood disorders, and performance enhancement.
Dr. Mitchell is a psychiatrist with specialized training in sports psychiatry, ADHD, and mood disorders. He completed his medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine — Phoenix and his psychiatry residency at the University of Arizona, where he served as Chief Resident and earned the Arizona Psychiatric Society Resident Recognition of the Year award in both 2025 and 2026.
Dr. Mitchell holds a Certificate of Additional Training in Sports Psychiatry from the International Society for Sports Psychiatry. His training encompasses athlete mental health, performance-related conditions, ADHD in athletes, concussion, and the ethical complexities of sports psychiatry practice.
A lifelong athlete himself — having completed a marathon, multiple half marathons, a Spartan Race, and a Tough Mudder — Dr. Mitchell brings firsthand understanding of the mental demands of athletic competition. He founded Apex Mental Health to fill a gap in Utah County: genuinely specialized psychiatric care for those who compete, perform, and strive. He is currently accepting patients in person and virtually in Utah, and virtually in Arizona.
Dr. Madison Iskierka is a Phoenix-based psychiatrist who completed her medical training in an accelerated 6-year BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and residency in general psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. Throughout her training, she built experience across a wide range of settings — from hospital-based care to veteran services — and was recognized by the class of 2024 medical students with a teaching award for her commitment to education. Dr. Iskierka also actively works with the Veterans Affairs population providing acute inpatient services.
Dr. Iskierka’s clinical focus centers on ADHD, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders, with a strong interest in how lifestyle factors such as nutrition and exercise influence mental health. She takes a whole-person approach to psychiatric care that supports patients across all gender identities, sexual orientations, and backgrounds. She is currently accepting patients in the state of Arizona via telehealth only.
When she’s not seeing patients, she can be found participating in competitive flag football leagues, traveling, lifting weights, hiking, or relaxing at home with her two cats.

Executives, entrepreneurs, and professionals who want to operate at the highest level — without sacrificing their mental health or wellbeing to get there.
You don't need to be an athlete to receive exceptional psychiatric care here. We welcome all adults seeking treatment for ADHD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.
